I was so done with dating, and had been told to just take a break from it. In April/May, I had one prospect left on eHarmony but he didn't have a picture or anything posted so I really didn't know if he was serious or what. My membership had just lapsed and I saw that I had a message from him. I was curious, so I rejoined and it was him, requesting fast-track (because his membership was ending). We emailed back and forth just once, and then started talking on the phone and via text.

I wasn't sure about him at first; I had no luck in the past but was sure that I was going to do things differently. We had a ton of things in common (including that we had gone to the same colleges-on two occasions and he lived right down the street from where I used to house-sit). It was all overwhelming and awesome at first, but I didn't make a decision about him right away, and I'm so glad I didn't. One day I just realized that I really liked having him around and I wanted it to keep going. We haven't spent more than 2 days apart since the middle of June, and just got engaged on the 26th of this month! We are both so incredibly happy and even though we had been so close in proximity in the past, we probably would have never met. Thanks to EHarmony, we've each found what we never thought we would find!
