eHarmony re-ignites an old flame

Our union is truly one of destiny. We met for the first time in 1995 when I was working at a hotel as a front desk clerk and was covering a co-worker's shift as a favor. Andy checked in as a guest and had the shifts not been changed we would never have met. We dated for several months but, for one reason or another, things didn’t work out. One year later we reunited but again were only together for a few months. The funny thing was that over the years neither one of us forgot the other. Through our various relationships, we held on to photos and memorabilia. We thought of each other often and would wonder how the other one was doing, should we reach out, and would the third time be a charm.

In January 2005 I was a member of eHarmony and my membership was coming to an end. I received a request for open communication but wasn't matched with anyone at the time so I didn't know who it was. When I opened the message and saw it was Andy I couldn't believe it. He had just signed up and my profile was one of the first ones he was sent. I always felt he was the "one who got away" and now I know we were meant for each other all along. Destiny brought us together the first time but we missed the signs. eHarmony brought us together again and we haven't missed any of the signs this time. We just got married this past January, bought our first home and are looking forward to a bright future together. Thank you eHarmony!!
