15 Positive signs you’re exclusive

by

So you’ve been dating for a few months now and have a really good feeling about this one, but before having ‘the talk’ you want a sign that this guy or gal is worth keeping. Here are 15 good signs that you’ve found someone special who is already exclusive with you:

  1. You see each other most weekends

When it is assumed that you’ll spend the weekend together, or at least Friday and Saturday night, you’re probably exclusive. If someone wants to date other people, they’ll leave one of their weekend nights available.

  1. You include each other in future plans

If you’re discussing holiday plans or booking concert tickets for months away without question, you both see each other in your future and it is a good sign you are exclusive.

  1. You’ve met each other’s family and friends

When someone is really into you they will be excited to show you off to their loved ones and integrate you into their social circle and life. If your plans regularly involve spending time with their friends and family, this is a great sign.

  1. You deactivate your dating profiles

If someone wants to make the relationship exclusive, they won’t be logging on when you’re gone to check messages and new matches.

  1. Your social media pages include photos of you together

If their Facebook page has multiple photos of you two together as a couple, it sends a message to their social networks that they are taken and proud of it.

  1. They spend special occasions with you

If you’re making plans together for milestones like birthdays and Valentine’s Day, which are important days for couples, you’ll know there isn’t anyone else but you.

  1. You introduce each other as BF or GF

When your significant other stops introducing you as just a friend and it’s replaced with ‘boyfriend’ or ‘girlfriend’ publicly, chances are you’re their one-and-only.

  1. You feel guilty if you hear from an ex

If either one of you hears from an ex and it makes you uncomfortable, you’ll both realise you’re not open to possibilities with them and won’t want to lose what you’ve got.

  1. They’re there for you when you’re sick

A key part of a relationship is being there for each other through both the good times and the bad. If you’re under the weather and this person is by your side with soup, flowers, and would rather nurse you back to health than hang out with their friends, you know they’re a keeper.

  1. They brag about you to their friends

When they shout about you from the rooftops and tell their closest friends all about you, you know they’re getting the vote of approval and want to share their joy.

  1. You hold hands in public

If PDA is now a thing and you regularly hold hands and show affection in public, even in front of family and colleagues, this shows the world you’re taken.

  1. They let their ex know they’re in a relationship

If they still have contact with their ex but have let them know about you so respectable boundaries can be set, this sends the message that the past will stay in the past.

  1. You’ve exchanged the ‘L word’

Most people don’t say “I love you” until they really mean it – so if they profess their love for you, chances are they mean it and are totally committed to you.

  1. You spend nights curled up in each other’s arms

When you’re in an exclusive relationship, just being together cuddling, watching television, or spooning at night shows how comfortable and happy they are in having you in their life.

  1. You have a drawer at their place

Whether it’s a drawer, toothbrush or spare outfits, when they carve out a place in their bedroom or bathroom and vice versa, you know it’s a positive sign they’ve made a permanent place for you in their life.
