Why’d you join eHarmony?
It seemed like a good time to try something new, plus I have friends who have met their partners through eHarmony.
What was your dating life like before joining eHarmony?
It was okay, but a bit hit and miss at times. I tend to just fall into things and take it from there rather than actively go out in search of someone.
What are you looking for in a match?
Someone who is open to whatever comes along, who has a zest for life and a love of family, travel, adventure and fun. I’d also like to meet someone who exhibits the traits of honesty, integrity and kindness.
What does compatibility mean to you?
It’s about knowing that your partner (or prospective partner) has compatible views and opinions on some of the important issues in life. It’s not necessary for you to agree on everything, more so the ‘big’ things.
Have you been on any eHarmony dates yet?
Yes, I’ve been out to dinner with a ‘what if’ match.
Best thing to do on a date in Brisbane?
If you’re looking for something a little out of the ordinary, hit Riverlife at Kangaroo Point and do some kind of activity together (segway, kayaking, abseiling) so that you have a shared adventure and can then talk about it afterwards.
What’s your advice to others looking for love?
Know yourself and be yourself. If you’re still hung up on someone else, or not quite sure ‘who’ you are and what you stand for, it’s going to be harder to meet someone. Take things as they come and don’t have any expectations.
