It’s not to say Maroons fans aren’t excellent potential matches – eharmony members who declare a love of rugby league, regardless of what their postcode is, have many admirable qualities.
They are seen to be significantly more agreeable than fans of other sports – although that isn’t the case around State of Origin time when normally calm characters spend two months on the verge of hysteria.
Another bonus that comes from having a rugby fan in your life is that they tend to be outgoing types, and also have a penchant for altruistic behaviour. In other words they are fun to be around and have a kind heart too.

As the 2017 State of Origin series reaches its thrilling climax this week, one thing that won’t be in short supply in both camps of supporters is passion – and passion for something or someone you love is a great trait to have, wherever you’re from.
