Karl and Moreena

Perth

Why did you join eHarmony?

Karl: I found that the advertising and reviews had explained the process thoroughly, and I was looking for this type of considered approach.

Were you in a relationship before joining eHarmony or had you been single for a while?

Yes I had been in two serious relationships previously and I was single for about 3 months prior to eHarmony. I have two children to a previous marriage.

When did you first start communicating with your partner?

Moreena contacted me first in March 2013. She is always so proud to be the one who “had the balls” to contact me first and she still doesn’t miss an opportunity to gloat about it to anyone.

When did you go on your first date? What did you do?

In May, after many eHarmony email discussions and some persuasion she caved.  We were supposed to go out for dinner but I misread an SMS and was waiting for her to tell me when she was ready to be picked up, while she was waiting for me! Everything in Fremantle was closing but we were lucky to catch a restaurant before it closed. We had a quick meal and dessert, then went for a walk together.

When did you realise this was something special?

We had started skyping each other as I am a fly-in-fly-out worker, and I felt something one day when she just looked at me different.  I knew then that it was something special.

What makes you two compatible?

We can be stupid together, honest with each other and serious when we need to be. We’re always on the same page and communicate so well.

What does the future hold for you two?

Marriage, kids and dogs and building a life together, growing old and watching our own family and legacy grow.

What’s your favourite thing about your partner?

Her fun, crazy personality.

What’s your partner’s best quality?

Caring soul, there’s more but you asked for one!

What’s the thing you miss the most about your partner when they’re not around?

Just being in her company as it doesn’t feel natural without her around.
