Online Safety Code for dating services
eharmony is proud to participate in the Online Safety Code for dating services (Code), a voluntary and collaborative industry code of practice which is designed to reduce the risk of online enabled harm to dating service users in Australia. eharmony currently has a Tier 2 Code rating. We are fully committed to adhering to the principles outlined in this Code, ensuring transparency and ease of reporting. By complying with the Code, eharmony aims to help keep our community safe and prosperous for all members.
We have an easy-to-use reporting mechanism of any instances of online enabled harm by other members that violate eharmony’s Terms of Service, including but not limited to, instances of harassment, assault, sexual abuse, criminal or sex offender records, and threats against our members or others. If you would like to report a violation by an eharmony member, you can now submit your report as follows:
How to Report a Member for Online Enabled Harm
A member can be reported directly from their profile page or from within your communication. To do so:
- Please click on the menu button (…) located on the upper right-hand side.
- In the dropdown, there is an option to click “Report Profile”. C
- This link will provide you with several reasons for which you can report a member, and a free form option to provide additional information regarding your concerns.
- Once reported, this information will be sent directly to our Trust & Safety team for review and action.
Our team will carefully and promptly review each report and take appropriate action to keep our platform safe. To the extent possible, we will notify you of the action(s) we take in response to your report.
